microsoft
brand & experience design

2017 - 2021

Over the course of almost 5 years, I helped design brands, design systems, experiences, websites, and a variety of other creative materials for Microsoft’s 150,000+ employees.

As I grew my relationships with clients, I became the go-to Design Lead and Creative Director for new creative projects across Microsoft’s Global Learning & Development; Sales; Customer & Partner Solutions; Diversity & Inclusion; Performance & Rewards, and other organizations.

Microsoft is one of the leading organizations in the world in talent development, building internal experiences for their employees, and investing in diversity and inclusion in their workforce.

Microsoft’s primary challenge from a business perspective is the cost of recruiting, hiring, maintaining and growing their talent and workforce. As a result, they spend millions of dollars a year to build branded experiences to help grow their people. While a lot of those projects can be designed in-house, Microsoft generally prefers to bring in external vendors to create their projects, often times with varied success, quality, and satisfaction from employees.

To support these objectives, Microsoft wanted to create global scale, and consistency across their portfolio when it came to design, innovation in experience, and brand.
