Microsoft is like a second home for me, as I’ve worked directly with them on projects since 2014. One of my favorite experiences professionally is likely my 3 years as the Experience Design (XD) Studio Lead at Microsoft, where I led a team of up to 30+ creatives to shape experiences.

In my role, I helped shape our studio’s brand, built the infrastructure from scratch, created product offerings, and sourced all of our ~$6m in business, generating YoY revenue growth and new business opportunities.

OVERVIEW

Building off of the success we had as a business working with Microsoft on Experience and Brand Design work from 2017 - 2021, my leadership asked me to help build a new studio model that would allow us to standardize products, establish a place for creative talent to grow, and sell more work than ever before with Microsoft’s Global Learning & Development organization, and the orgs they partnered with (Engineering, Marketing, Design, etc.).

I helped build a studio from scratch, starting with an operating model, then shaping our brand identity, our product offerings, and finally leading the various business development opportunities that our teams sourced with Microsoft.

Some of the coolest experiences included:

  • Video-driven learning experience for Microsoft’s sales organization to sell sustainable products and offerings, featuring Microsoft’s Chief Sustainability Officer;

  • Creating brands for Microsoft’s Human-Centered Facilitation Lab; Experience Design Studios; Manager Onboarding; Engineering’s Product Manager Academy; Marketing Academy; HR Academy, and more;

  • Directing a variety of video content, creative and interactive experiences for employees;
